No. SayLuma has levels for zero English, beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners. Choose your level during setup so your tutor can adapt the conversation and explanations.
Which languages can help me learn English?
SayLuma supports assistance in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, Hindi, French, Bengali, Indonesian, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Japanese. English is the language you are practicing.
Where can I get SayLuma?
SayLuma is available for Android on Google Play. You can also open the existing web app using the Open app link. Android subscriptions are purchased through Google Play. An internet connection is required.
Can I type instead of speaking?
Yes. Choose “Type instead” on the conversation screen to write a message. You can also ask in your supported language when you need help, then return to speaking English.
How do the subscription and free trial work?
The U.S. list price is US$4.99 per month; regional prices may vary. Google Play may offer eligible subscribers a 7-day free trial. Your exact price and offer appear before purchase. Unless canceled before the trial ends, the trial becomes a paid monthly subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through Google Play.
How much practice is included?
